Indian Small and Medium Enterprises are playing more and more important role in economy  and  has gained rapid development in recent years. However, financing difficulty is a predominant and common problem for the SME’s in India. One of the solutions is to establish a credit rating method which can help SME’s to access finance. Brickwork is committed to help the SME sector by offering ratings.

The unique characteristics of SMEs, which are broadly identified by low capitalisation, limited recognisable assets, geographical diversity, short business lifespan, poor access to capital markets, huge cash intensity in transactions, absence of dependable credit information/history and other internalized issues of promoters, to enable reasonably good credit decisions, poor financial disclosure on tax and other business issues, high credit risk perceptions coupled with high borrowing cost, low concentration on financial and non-financial activities and slow acceptance of changes through technology-based solutions.
Hence, the following qualitative characteristics to define an SME:

Strong links between the entity, the owner, and the owner's family.
An organizational structure that features owner management, or the owner or the owner's family members, on the supervisory board.
An organizational structure with historically close relationships between management and employees.
Existing funding availabilities that are based predominantly on bank facilities and loans.
Limited or no access to the equity or capital markets.
Limited financial flexibility due to restrictions in the company's capacity to raise new equity. Most owners have only limited capital resources to support capital increases, or may be unwilling to provide support.
Brickwork SME rating criteria includes five main categories: Financial Conditions, Characteristic and Perspective of the product, Operation Risk and Competitive Strength, Management Measure and Conditions of Industry of evaluated SMEs. Every main category also includes several sub-criteria as follows:

Business Associate & Dealer evaluation Services
In the current economic climate when new Business  Channel Partners cannot be relied upon to deliver sufficient revenues and bottom line profitability an effective business strategy is a vitally important component of Channel Partner, dealer network and manufacturer survival.

Many manufacturers manage their Business strategy through a 'Dealer Evaluation ' where there are varying levels of participation, manufacturer interest and customer recognition. A successful and sustaining Channel Partner programme will vary depending on the new car brand but it should always be appropriate to total volumes, vehicle values, customer expectations and the national market.

Using our dealer profiling tool, which allows us to capture and record vital dealer data, including current performance in comparison to manufacturer standards we can provide any motor manufacturer or importer with a clear view of their dealer network sales potential and training needs.

Our dealer profiling tool is bespoke to each country, dealer network or franchise and help to know the following questions  like the the gross profit per unit from retailing Channel Partners,  the average warranty cost ,  average stock turn and comparison  from dealership to dealership and region to region, , the total potential for Channel Partner sales within the whole network,

We can provide you with clear and concise answers to these questions and many more to help you appreciate how dealers think, how they operate, the capacity and capabilities that they have, and what they need from you to help them grow profits and margins
